The Benefits of Honey - Tierra Mia Organics

Unveiling the Secret Life of Bees

Adding raw honey to our products wasn’t an impulsive decision or a silly marketing ploy. I’ve been studying the wonderful healing benefits that raw honey has to us both inside and out for 18 years and am continuously amazed at how bees are one of the most perfect creations that God has made.

Before I give away their many secrets, most importantly, the honey you use needs to be raw. I cannot stress this enough. Raw honey is live food that still holds all of the foliage that surrounded it in the hive. Any processing kills the honey, and with that, all of the vitamins and minerals.  (You can find raw honey at your local health food stores or online at Iherb.com)

Raw honey softens and moisturizes the skin for a healthy complexion. It is packed full of potassium, along with calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese and phosphorous. You will find our own honey in all of the Tierra Mia Organics Soaps, Face and Body Creams, Lip Balms and Pots.

What other uses does this magical elixir have?

As an ideal first-aid ointment, add honey underneath your band-aid for minor cuts, scrapes or burns. What gives honey its healing capacity? A combination of several factors: Honey’s acidity, or pH, is low enough to stop the growth of many bacteria. Honey also has an ability to absorb moisture, which deprives bacteria the moisture the need to survive.

Let the healing begin!

Other uses being recommended:

  •  Ulcer/Acid Reflux – 1 tablespoon daily to reduce ulcer/acid reflux
  •  Local honey to arm against seasonal allergies, along with   chewing on the comb between meals
  •  Sore Throats – Add honey to a glass of warm milk
  •  Insomnia – Mix a half a glass of warm water with 2 tablespoons of honey and the juice of one lemon.
  • Pick you up – Combine 2 tablespoons of honey, 2 teaspoons pollen, a teaspoon of ginseng and some orange peel. Take with a spoon.

Bees are such wonderful little creatures and so valuable to the world. At Tierra Mia Organics, we care for our bees by keeping them on farms that are owned by farmers that truly care not only for the fruits and vegetables they farm, but truly love having the bees on their farm all year round. They are grateful to the bees for the essential work that they do to help produce the best crop for the farmer.

Proverbs 24:13 Eat honey, my son, for it is good; honey from the comb is sweet to your taste.
